Hellissandur long-wave radio mast at sunset. It's the tallest radio mast in the world and above ground structure in western Europe @ 412 meters high. Gufuskálar, 

The radio was used by the US Coast Guard in the past, and is now part of RUV, the Icelandic radio service.

It is on the edge of Snæfellsjökull National Park, Snæfellsjökulsþjóðgarður, home to the glacier capped volcano where Jules Verne's Journey to the Center of The Earth begins. Snæfellsnes peninsula, Western Region, Iceland.
