Switzerland Moral Ethics Pgurtner Roland Trauffer (b/w photo)

Professor Stephan Pfuertner and Roland Trauffer (right) deliver a speech after the demonstration, taken on 3 February 1972 in Freiburg, Switzerland. About 600 people, mainly students, took part in a torchlight procession in Freiburg to the residence of Professor Pfuertner in the city center to express their sympathy for him. Professor Pfuertner, who had caused a great stir with a controversial lecture on modern moral ethics, and had therefore been requested by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in Rome to publicly withdraw his theses, addressed some words to the manifestation participants at the end of the rally.
