Backstube. Obwohl das Backen jahrhundertelang im Haushalt selbst besorgt wurde, wie auf dem Lande heute noch, ist doch das Backerhandwerk eines der altesten Gewerbe, das sich zuerst an Orten bildete, wo viele Menschen zusammenlebten. Heute backt die Hausfrau in der Stadt hochstens den Festtagskuchen noch selbst oder gibt den eingeruhrten Teig zum Abbacken in die Backerei. Translation: Bakery.
