Artist: John Shury & Son (engravers and printers) `United To Protect, Not Combined To Injure.' 'Domine dirige nos - Lord, guide us - is the motto of the city of London. Printed 16, Charterhouse St, Charterhouse Square, London. The Brushmakers Society was formed by a mutual understanding between a number of towns, the coats of arms of six major ones forming part of the border of this print. The Russian wild boar was the authentic sign of the trade and the view of St. Katherine's Dock signifies the import point for bristle cargoes.
