The wreckage of a Pzkfw IV in the desert, 1942. Photograph, World War Two, North Africa, 1942. The Panzer IV was used in all theatres of combat throughout World War Two and was the only German tank to remain in continuous production throughout the conflict. This example was knocked out by tanks of 3rd County of London Yeomanry. From an album containing 189 photographs compiled by Major W H J Sale, MC, 3rd/4th County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters).
