Japanese Astronaut Soichi Noguchi (L) and astronaut Danny Olivas talk about in-flight emergency repair techniques to the reinforced carbon-carbon shuttle wing leading edges that are under development at NASA, September 18, 2003 in Houston. Noguchi is a mission specialist aboard STS-114, the first flight scheduled after the Columbia disaster.
