Rescuers search the rubble for survivors after strong earthquake rocked San Giuliano Di Puglia, south-central Italy on October 31, 2002, sending cracks through buildings and sparking panic in a number of towns, although no injuries were immediately reported. At least four children were killed and dozens of others trapped under rubble after a violent earthquake toppled a nursery school in this medieval town in south-central Italy, police said. About 20 injured people had been pulled from the school so far, an official at police headquarters in Rome said.
