Panoramic view of the entrenchment of Allied Armies of England and France before Sebastopol. By April 1855, when this print was published, the railway between Balaklava and the British encampment before Sevastopol was in operation. The crisis of supply had passed. Still, although drastically foreshortened, it is possible to appreciate from the panorama how vital was the line of communication between Balaklava and the British camp.
