Nicaraguan child Reynaldo Artola, 11, mixes mud with his feet and hands until it reaches the right consistency for bricks and roof tiles at a brick works in La Paz Centro, 62km (about 40 miles) west of Managua October 2, 2003. Reynaldo earns the equivalent of US$2 a day for his work. He is one of an estimated 314,000 Nicaraguan children between the ages of 5 and 17 who according to a report by the Nicaraguan Ministry of Employment have worked at some stage in their lives.
