SWISS MAN PULLS A CROSS OUT OF A GRAVE STONE FROM UNDERNEATH THE SNOW AFTER AVALANCHE IN VILLAGE OF GESCHINGEN. Swiss Karl Zehner (59) pulls out the grave stone of his grandmother from the snow March 2 after an avalanche hit the house of his father on February 23, in the village of Geschingen in Oberwallis-Goms in the Kanton of Wallis. Zehner's father, 93 year-old Otto Zehner, was killed in his house built by his two sons when an avalanche destroyed his house and two others in the same village. The wish of his father Otto, who refused to leave his house due to the avalanche danger, was to have the gravestone of his mother on his grave. Otto Zehner was buried on Sunday February 28 and the gravestone will be placed on his grave as soon as possible.
