The Russian oil bunkering vessel "Namoskvorechye" lies berthed in Malta's Grand Harbour after it suffered aft damage while on its maiden voyage in a freak accident involving three ships on February 7. The ship was berthed when it was hit by the berthing Italian Linea Messina container vessel "Jolly Giallo", damaging part of its aft bridge and a lifeboat. The force of the impact tore the Russian vessel off its moorings and it hit the small cargo vessel "Lady Nancy" which was berthed in front of it. The "Jolly Giallo" and the "Lady Nancy" did not suffer any apparent damage. No one was injured in the accident. DZL/CLH/
