Video description

TILT up, CU, LA, interior. Renaissance-style coffered ceiling of one of the transepts - a triple segmented barrel vault, filled with an abundance of imagery together with medallions and large ceiling rosettes. The monastery was founded by the Catholic Monarchs in Santa Fe in 1492, but was transferred ca. 1496 to Granada, first to another location and then to its present location in Calle Gran Capitan. The work was directed by Jacobo Florentino, "El Indaco", and on his death in 1526, by Diego de Siloe.
