Hindu devotees carry milk pots on their heads during a 10-kilometre procession to mark the beginning of Thaipusam, an annual Indian festival symbolising the struggle between good and evil, in Kuala Lumpur during the early hours of February 6, 2001. The capital of Malaysia - where 10 percent of the population are ethnic Indians - was filled with prayers and mantra chants, and several hundreds carried the milk pots in the procession to fulfil vows.
