The event was jointly organised by the five main contractors on the site and the Central Electricity Generating Board. The week included the presentation of safety films, exhibition stands and safety demonstrations. At set times each day, the site rescue team also demonstrated the rescue of a trapped person overcome by fumes at a great height.
