CRIME SCENE CLEAN UP CREW REMOVES BOXES FROM HOUSE, 2000-03-22 (photo)

Crime scene cleanup crew carry boxes of possible evidence from the house (at left) on Lange Street in Dundalk March 22, where the hostage standoff between police and Joseph C. Palczynski ended with police shooting Palczynski dead March 21. Two of the hostages, Lynn Whitehead and Andy McCord escaped through the single window to the right of the open door, notified police, who then entered the house through the double windows to the left of the door. The third hostage, 12 year old Bradley McCord, was in another room during the shooting, and was brought out of the house safely by police.    JG/MMR
