A young Channel-billed Cuckoo bird from Papua New Guinea is fed a baby mouse during feeding time at Taronga Zoo's Wildlife Clinic in Sydney February 13, 2001. The birds migrate every year to Australia during their breeding season, laying their eggs in the nests of local birds. This species, like many cuckoos, is a nest parasite-that is, the female lays eggs in the nests of smaller birds, which raise the young cuckoos. This injured young male was found after it fell out of it's nest, and brought to the Zoo's Wildlife Clinic. DG/PB
