Image description

Canadian Martin Dumas parachutes down the Kuala Lumpur Tower during Malaysia's first Buildings, Antennas, Spans and Earth (B.A.S.E) jump October 3. The event was held as part of the Tower's third anniversary celebrations. The execution of this jump is much more difficult as the safety margin in a normal free fall exercise is 800 metres which is the minimum height a jumper needs to deploy the parachute safely. This jump was executed at a height of 300 metres, almost a third of the safe margin height. ZH/TAN
