Sports day sprint races with European men and women. There are sequences at the Bulawayo Horse Races, an International Rugby match (Britain vs Rhodesia) followed by an International Cricket match. Country cricket match played by amateurs, followed by MCC vs Rhodesia, touring cricket match. There are shots of the Ellis Park Tennis Finals. The final sequence is a Racing Regatta on the Vaal River. (00.00 to 00.18) Title: A sporting medley. And incidentally our first efforts. (00.18 to 01.10) Intertitle: Bloomsbury vs Park Lane: Olympic Stuff. European men and women pose for the camera laughing and talking amongst themselves. (01.11 to 01.46) Sprint race by young European women followed by slow-motion footage of men taking part in a sprint race. (01.46 to 03.12) Intertitle: Bullawyo Races. This is a series of shots showing horses being prepared to race, spectators, jockeys and a slow motion sequence of horses racing. (03.12 to 04.20) Intertitle: Rugby – 1938: Britain vs Rhodesia. The sequence begins with kilted bagpipe band leading teams out onto the playing field. There is a sequence of shots from the rugby game. (04.20 to 08.50) Inter title: First Test Match. The sequence begins with footage of city streets and traffic from inside a car. There is a sequence of a cricket match in a packed stadium.
