It is the oldest flower of the world which came by plane from Tokyo. Sometime ago the Japanese flower-expert Dr. Ichiro Ohga found the seed of the lotus-flower deep in the earth the age of which is estimated up to 2000 years. Dr. Ohga brought up 4 bulbs from this precious seed which now arrived in Hamburg. Master-Gardener Kuhnert put them in a flower-pot which he placed above zero. His finger is pointing to the germ-out of which the flower has to developed in July.
