Two lovers re both seated on the green floor. She wears a yellow transparent sari and presses the cup to his lips with one hand while holding the bottle with the other. He wears a white dhoti and holds his head back to receive the wine. Both their heads are in profile; she has her eyes fixed on him but he raises his a little obviously enjoying the wine. Their boneless bodies are softly modelled in light but there is no consistent light source. The artist uses modelling with light in the traditional Kalighat way with various parts of the body highlighted inconsistently. Source/Shelfmark: Foster 1054
