A model of "The World", a 196 metre long, 40.000 tonne state of the art liner 12 decks high, harbouring a crew of over 250 and home to 110 residences and 88 guest suites, was pictured March 22, 2001, in the small Austrian village of Thomasberg about 70 kilometres south of Vienna. The interiors of the liner, the worlds first ocean-going luxury resort, most notably the apartments, are being done by List, an Austrian firm active in ship and hotel furnishings. Prospective buyers of the condomiums which cost from two million dollars can view life size mock ups in Thomasberg. LF/
