The restoration of the Last Supper. The famous painting by Leonardo da Vinci in the refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie, in Milan, which over the centuries had been reduced to deplorable conditions after the war, also after the bombing already suffered serious deterioration and various problematic restorations, more harmful than useful, has in recent years been subjected, by Mauro Pelliccioli, to a long and very patient treatment that has consolidated its falling structure and resurfaced the original composition, discovering some beautiful parts that the previous retouches hid.
