The centenary of Lourdes (colour litho)

The centenary of Lourdes. On 11 February 1858, the Madonna appeared to the little Bernadette Soubirous who, with a little sister and another child, was collecting wood in front of the Massabielle cave. The extraordinary vision is repeated seventeen more times in a short time. The Virgin spoke to the peasant woman, told her who she was and what she wanted. People rushed; the first miraculous healings took place; the Sanctuary was born. On the hundredth anniversary of the apparitions in Lourdes, great events are being prepared, in which several million pilgrims are expected to participate.
