Image description: HOLOCAUST Back from work (enlivened by orchestra). Drawing by Mieczyslawa Koscielniaka, Polish graphic artist. He was interned when he was young, just after finished his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, in Oswiecim (Auschwitz) and then transferred to Mauthausen. After liberation, May 6, 1945, immediately began to draw scenes and characters of his experience. He produced a folder composed of 12 sketches entitled 'In the Valley of hunger'. Following his artistic career, he was greatly influenced by his terrible experience in the extermination camp. Drawing, Poland 1950
