Wagner Clavecin royal, Square Piano, Tafelklavier, invented by Johann Gottlob Wagner, with ivory inscription: Dresden, 12th December 1788. Displayed in the BachHaus Museum in Eisenach, the town of the birth of Johann Sebastian Bach. 2 X 48 strings, 63 keys. With stops for Harp, Pantalon, and Piano.Oak, with rosewood and walnut header board. Patened by JG Wagner 1774. Compared to the ordinary fortepiano to Wagner's invention by unbelederte or unbefilzte Holzhämmer which cause a harpsichord-like sound effect, and harp, and Pantalon- Pianozug distinguished. By combining the 3 trains following 6 tones can be imitated or created the following instruments: 1. spinet harpsichord (excluding trains) 2. Pantalon (Pantalonzug) 3. Harp - (Harfenzug) 4. Loud (harp + Pantalonzug). 5 fortepiano with Cembaloanklang (Pianozug) 6. fortepiano (piano + Pantalonzug) the inventor believes that the sound of a harp course could be produced when the Harfenzug completely pure.
