Object Out of Perspective. By holding this card almost level with the eyes, and looking steadily at the diagram from the bottom edge, the lines which converge towards the bottom of the picture will appear to be quite upright and parallel. The card should be held about three inches from the eyes. Illustration for one of a set of cigarette cards on the subject of Optical Illusions, published by Ogden's, early 20th century.
