framed notice, "Bramley and Leeds... The public are respectfully informed that a NEAT COACH will commence on the First of Nov... from Bramley to Leeds.."; Isaac Morley, Proprietor - with illustration; printed H. Cullingworth & Son, Boar Lane, Leeds. A new westerly turnpike road was constructed from Wellington Road through Armley and Bramley to Stanningley during 1835 and 1836 and, on 1st November of the latteryear, Isaac Morley, innkeeper of the Cardigan Arms, Bramley, introduced a market coach making four journeys on Tuesdays and Saturdays from the Griffin Inn, West Bar, to his establishment at Bramley. The coach also made one journey on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The fare was said to be 9d each way, but this coach too was short lived.
