Pastimes of Our King. His Majesty is seen here at Wimbledon competing in the All-England lawn tennis championships in the year he entered the men's doubles event with Wing Commander Sir Louis Greig as partner. Playing before a critical Wimbledon gallery held no terrors for His Majesty, whose splendid left-handed service gave the pair on the other side of the court much cause for anxiety. In the end, however, the ex-champions, to whom they were opposed, came through triumphant. The King and Wing Commander Sir Louis Greig as partners have won the RAF doubles championship. Illustration for Photocard issued by Ardath Tobacco in c.1936.
