Ecumenical church congress - Collective last supper, Berlin 2003 (photo)

Catholic priest Gotthold Hasenhuettl invites the congregation to take part in the Last Supper during a church service at this year's Ecumenical Church Congress in Berlin. Taken 29 May 2003. Its is the first time that Catholics and Protestants hold a common church congress which runs under the motto 'Ihr sollt ein Segen sein' (you should be a blessing). The pope prohibited the collective Last Supper, which was attended by around 2,000 people, and Hasenhuettle is now under threat to become the subject of a disciplinary enquiry. Hasenhuettle is currently professor of theology and lectures at the university in the German state of Saarland.
