Besondere Gestute (Stutereien) sorgten neben dem eigenen landwirtschaftlichen Bedarf vor allem fur den Pferde-Nachwuchs im Heere, wo es auf besonders edles und haltbares Material ankommt. Beruhmt sind die deutschen Pferde-Zucht-Gebiete von Ostpreussen, Hannover und Friesland. Translation: Stud.
