CLOISONNE ENAMEL BOX AND COVER XUANDE MARKS AND PERIOD cloisonné enamel Diameter 4 1/2 in., 11.5 cm of circular form, decorated in a brilliant palette of iron-red, dark green, white, yellow, and lapis-blue on a turquoise ground, the upper surface depicting a single large stylized lotus bloom with radiating petals and feathery leaves, with a gilt six-character reign mark inscribed in a horizontal line, the sides enameled with bands of continuous floral scrolls and classic scroll, all framed by gilt borders, the interiors and base gilded, the base incised with a vertical six-character reign mark (2).
