A Chinese worker rests at the Kunming Cigarette Factory in Kunming, capital of China's southwestern Yunnan province, April 19, 2002. Thousands of workers are employed in the tobacco industry in Yunnan province. Tobacco accounts for over half of the province's tax revenues, thanks to the demand of some 300 million Chinese smokers. With China's entry to the World Trade Organisation last year, the tobacco industry is facing - for the first time - competition from overseas.
