The Taliban handed over a Canadian reporter, who went missing earlier this week, at the Pakistani border on Saturday, a Pakistani border official said. "Mullah Aminullah, the Taliban security chief in Spin Boldak, handed him over to Canadian diplomats at the Chaman border at 8:40 p.m. (1610 GMT)," the official said. Canada sent two diplomats from its Islamabad mission to the Pakistan border on Wednesday to try to contact a group said to have kidnapped Hechtman, who was working for the Montreal Mirror weekly newspaper.
