Video description

PAN, interior. This hall is the oldest of all the rooms surrounding the Courtyard of the Lions. Arabesque patterns with Arabic inscriptions adorn the walls. The pattern and metallic luster of the tiles adorning the dado are some of the most original and beautiful found in the whole of the Alhambra. The general pattern is one of small shields within a labyrinth of interwoven ribbons. The jambs of the arches are decorated with circular motifs. Alhambra was declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984.
